Morning makeup shop. Going in for Nars came out with Smashbox

My day started out as usual dropping off my son at school, Starbucks and a quick visit/chat with my friend Diana.

I was all set to do as I promised and write a review of all the new products that I would purchase from Nars at Nordstrom's. I walked into Nordstrom's and was disappointed to see the Final Cut collection ,it wasn't anything I had not purchased,used before.

 I moved on to Sephora and got a sneak peak at the Nars narsissist eyeshadow palette.

I will post a link when available. I think this palette ($75) is great for someone that needs shadows for day into evening. The palette has a great range of colors. Matte textures and shimmer. If your just starting out as an artist this is a great palette for your kit. If you just love makeup it is a fun palette to add to your collection.

This palette is amazing! Matte finishes and shimmer/sparkle. It comes with a great shadow brush and blending brush!

I did some damage in the foundation department as well. Review to come over the weekend. Xo

Makeup... On a hunt or just shopping??

Yes that is what I am coveting now. I want everything the whole collection. It's beautiful!

Final cut is the name of the collection. It is exclusive to nordstroms. 

I will be purchasing all or most tomorrow and promise to write a review of it all! 

Little boys

I can't believe my son Mason is now 5. The time has really gone by super quick. This little boy happens to say the funniest, quirkiest things. I'm sure we all think that about our children. We (my husband Joe and I) just decided to get a real hair cut for our boy. We told mason we were going to get a trim and he said "YES", "I want an island with a volcano on top". I thought for a second... Does he mean a Mohawk? Laughing with him and not at him I quickly said "ok, great that's what we will do".

I have posted a before and after picture. We didn't wind up with a proper Mohawk but a messy spiky look. 

Starting over new year new hobby. Blogging about it all.

I have tried this blogging thing over and over again and it hasn't worked yet. I am a makeup artist. I love buying products. Products for me , for clients etc.  Whether its makeup or body cream or cleaning products I love them. My friends will tell you, I am always trying to get them to buy my new favorites. This blog will be my soap box of products. Speaking of soap I am really loving trader joes lavender exfoliating bar soap.traderjoes.com . The lavender is refreshing and clean smelling , relaxing yet invigorating. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. The dried lavender pieces in the soap exfoliate the skin gently, with out feeling like you scrapped off the first layer of your epidermis. Follow with your favorite body cream. Tomorrow I will tell you mine!
